John Thannisch graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a degree in Accounting and obtained his CPA license shortly thereafter. Thannisch is also a graduate of the Management Development Program sponsored by the Texas Bankers Association and the Leadership Lufkin program. His experience for the past 26 years has been in trust services in the East Texas market working with various types of accounts including retirement plans such as 401(k)s, profit sharing, and IRAs. He also works with investment accounts, custody, agency, and endowment funds.
John looks forward to using his experience to continue serving customers in this capacity and remaining in a community banking environment. As with all of our banking officers and employees, he continues to showcase the CBTx vision of being a community-focused financial services organization.
He currently sits on the Board of Directors for Lufkin Fireman's Relief and Retirement Fund, Lion's club, Z&OO Railroad Advisory, and the Naranjo Museum Board. John actively participates with his church at Harmony Hill Baptist.
